Belen Moreno, the principal NCIDQ certified interior designer of belendesign, Inc. and owner of Le Côté Français is a New York City native, who has lived between New York , Florida, Europe, and Latin America. After graduating from Barnard College with a B.A. in Theatre Arts,Belen worked for Sotheby’s in New York City, managed a contemporary art gallery in Miami, and represented various emerging contemporary artists internationally, before serving as cultural attachee from Venezuela to Switzerland.

Entering the field of interior design in 1997,she obtained a B.S. in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and has worked for a combined total of 12 years with Roche Bobois, Grange, and London Bay Homes/Romanza Interior Design of Naples, Florida before going on her own.

Combining organization with sensitivity, and clear communication with all persons contributing to the creation of a space, are essential. Simple elegance, punctuated by exotic details characterize my design aesthetic. I embrace contemporary minimalism , while enjoying the contrast a well placed antique may provide in a stark, monochromatic space. Incorporating imaginative organic shapes, live plants, original artwork and exquisite textiles, I focus on balance to achieve a playfully serene ambience.
